About us

We are committed to bridging the growing partisan divide in order to tackle our largest challenges and leave a better Commonwealth for future generations.

The challenge

Amid growing tribalism and polarization, organizations and forces working to divide our country — not unite it — are increasing.

Partisan primaries and gerrymandered districts reward candidates who appeal to the ideological extremes within their party’s base, only to leave them uncontested or not seriously challenged in general elections.

Our solution

By electing and supporting reform-minded candidates, Virginia has an opportunity to embolden leaders who will champion reforms that put voters first by increasing competition, transparency, and accountability. This group of legislators have committed to finding common ground across the aisle on important policy in order to foster a more representative and functional government.

Our Strategy

Our core strategy allows us to put voters first and promote the right leadership to create a better, more united Virginia.

People who put people over party. It’s not about prescribing an ideology; it's about solving problems. We support candidates in both parties' primaries who are pragmatic, pro-reform, and pledge to join a cross-partisan caucus.

Ranked Choice Voting

We support ranked choice voting (RCV) that makes elections better, faster and cheaper. RCV is a simple and easy improvement to the way we vote.

Vote By Mail

We support legislation making it easier for Virginians to vote, including from home in order to improve voter engagement, reduce election-related costs, and strengthen election security.

Redistricting Reform

Because politicians shouldn't choose their voters. Independent Redistricting Commissions curtail partisan gerrymandering by taking party politics and special interests out of the mapmaking process.

Nonpartisan Primaries

Letting all voters vote. Period. How do you make sure politicians listen to all their constituents? Simple: by giving all of their constituents a voice in their election through open and nonpartisan primaries.

Our Team

We work with Democrats, Republicans, and independents committed to bringing real change to our state’s politics.
